Hydropower has a unique and multi-faceted value proposition on the modern grid. While development of hydropower has slowed in recent decades, activity leading to growth and maintenance of the North American fleet will exert major influence on the trajectory the power sector takes. This session will convene experts and operators in hydropower and the transmission that supports it to discuss its value, proper compensation, trans-border agreements, and potential unlocks to continue to scale and maintain large hydropower in North America.
