Ms. Lauren Stowe is the Director of International Market Development for the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy. Lauren brings extensive government and private sector experience as an attorney, policy advisor, and diplomat to direct international energy market development. She served as a senior executive with expertise in energy, environment, and international trade policy spanning over two decades with positions in the U.S. federal government, private, and non-profit sectors. She managed over $100 million in complex multi-year appropriations at both the Department of State and U.S. Trade Representative, established and oversaw federal environmental grants programs with multiple U.S. federal agencies, and led U.S. delegations in multilateral trade and environment negotiations. Other key experience includes managing legal, tax, and financial operations for LLC, C-Corp, 501c3, 501c4 organizations, and oversight of debt and equity investment transactions.
Lauren has a B.A. from the University of Colorado (Geography), a M.A. in International Public Policy from Brandeis University (International Development), and a J.D. from American University (Comparative and International Law).
