Dr. Kwame Awuah-Offei is the Union Pacific/Rocky Mountain Energy Professor in Mining Engineering and chair of the Department of Mining & Explosives Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T). He is also the regional innovation officer of the Critical Minerals & Materials for Advanced Energy (CM2AE) Tech Hub. He has over 20 years of research, teaching and industry experience.

Dr. Awuah-Offei is a recipient of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration’s (SME’s) Environmental Distinguished Service Award and a Henry Krumb Lecturer. He is a fellow of the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum (WAIMM). He served as a mining engineering academic fellow for the US Securities & Exchange Commission.
