Kendra Kostek is the Senior Advisor for Siting and Permitting at the US Department of Energy, in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).
She is responsible for the leading the office’s efforts to accelerate deployment of clean energy technologies while minimizing the impacts and maximizing the benefits. She works in collaboration with the technology offices in EERE, and across DOE on these efforts.
She also served as the Deputy Director of Permitting Renewable Energy and Transmission at the White House to advance the Biden-Harris administration’s climate priorities. Previous to this, she worked at NYSERDA on the first of its kind clean energy siting team where she provided technical assistance to local permitting officials across New York state.
