Katie Auth is the Policy Director at the Energy for Growth Hub, a global research network working to end energy poverty. She focuses on channeling peer-reviewed research into policy processes and on pragmatic ideas to make US development assistance in the energy sector more effective. She is also a Non-Resident Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, focused on US-Africa relations in energy, technology, and climate. She previously spent 7 years with the US Agency for International Development’s Power Africa initiative, working to drive private investment into clean energy solutions in African markets. She has a BA from Bowdoin College and has a Masters in Natural Resource Management from the University of Akureyri in Iceland.
