Doug Bloch has 30 years of experience working with labor unions, public agencies, elected officials, employers, philanthropy, and community-based organizations at the intersection of jobs and public policy. He is the Principal and Strategic Consultant at Bloch Strategies, serving organizations with strategic advice and relationship-building.
Among many projects, Doug consults with the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Jobs to provide no-cost technical assistance to stakeholders interested in developing and implementing the job quality and skilled workforce and labor engagement components of Community Benefit Plans (CBPs).
Doug brings in-depth knowledge of labor issues and a strong track record of winning strategic initiatives. He has expertise in critical issues impacting workers and employers, including worker organizing, automation, public procurement, workforce development, and much more.
Doug is a veteran of many boards and commissions, including the California Future of Work Commission, where he served with Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su.
