Senior Finance Advisor to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund

Ashley Allen Jones leads environmental finance innovation across the water, agriculture, and energy sectors. She presently serves as Senior Finance Advisor to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund where supports implementation of the National Clean Investment Fund and Clean Community Investment Accelerators with an eye toward maximum leverage of private capital. She also serves as Chief Executive Officer of i2 Capital, a firm she founded to expand private investment and public-private partnerships in the conservation and sustainability realms. In 2019, Ashley became the founding Board Chair of the Conservation Innovation Fund, a blended finance fund formed to expand market-based solutions for water, carbon and biodiversity.

In 2020, Ashley joined EPA’s Environmental Financial Advisory Board, where she has co-chaired working groups that advise the Administrator and Staff on the $27bn Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and the agency’s Pollution Prevention program. She holds several private company board positions, and has served on the Boards of the Shakespeare Theatre Company and Washington Area Women’s Foundation. Before founding i2 Capital, Ashley spent two decades in the transactional finance sector – as an investor, investment banker and advisor – where she directed over $1bn for social and environmental projects, managed venture capital investments primarily in technology companies, and helped to execute over $1bn in Mergers & Acquisitions and private equity deals in the global Aerospace & Defense sector. Raised in rural Wyoming, Ashley has a deep reverence for nature, alongside watershed scale conservation and clean energy solutions.
