Aaron Oaks began his career at BASF in 2009 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, located in Houghton, Michigan.

His career with BASF has moved him across the United States and Germany bringing him back to Freeport, TX in 2022. In his most recent challenge, Aaron worked as the Freeport Site Energy Manager and led the site’s energy processes working towards a net zero strategy for a sustainable future. His passion for sustainability is furthered by his two daughters, age 7 and 9, who he hopes to inspire to be the next generation of change makers in the manufacturing industry.

He currently leads the project development and execution for the deployment of a new syngas production complex at BASF’s Freeport, Texas facility.
